This July, we’re taking a journey unlike any other. Welcome to Tour de Gospel, a four-week sermon series inspired by one of the world’s most demanding athletic events, the Tour de France. While most of us won’t be climbing mountain passes or racing through the French countryside, every one of us is on a journey of faith—and that journey takes preparation, perseverance, community, and hope.
Each week we’ll explore a different stage of the ride and discover what it teaches us about following Jesus.
We begin by Training for the Ride, learning that discipleship isn’t accidental—it requires intentional practices that shape our hearts and lives. Then we’ll move to Starting the Race, because faith isn’t meant to stay on the sidelines. The third week focuses on Riding Together, inspired by the cyclists who sacrifice their own success to help their teammates reach the finish. The Christian life was never meant to be lived alone; we are called to encourage, serve, and strengthen one another. Finally, we’ll celebrate Finishing Well, remembering that our goal is not simply to start with enthusiasm but to remain faithful to the end.
Whether you’re new to faith, returning after time away, or have been following Jesus for years, this series offers encouragement for wherever you find yourself on the journey.
Join us each Thursday in July at 6:30 p.m. at SALT United Methodist Community as we discover that the gospel is not a sprint—it’s a lifelong ride of grace, growth, and transformation. Grab your helmet (figuratively speaking!) and come ride with us.
